Andy Bauer, Vice President and Regional Executive

Join FAR at our April Luncheon when Andy Bauer will provide an overview of the US economy. Bauer will talk about the labor market and inflation dynamics, and the current stance of monetary policy. There will also be a discussion of risks to the economy and what to expect in 2023. Bauer’s information is easy to understand and his style is engaging – this is a session you don’t want to miss!

      Presenter: Andy Bauer, Vice President and Regional Executive for the Baltimore Branch of the Federal Reserve, Reserve Bank of Richmond

      Andy serves as the lead external facing officer for the Richmond Fed in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia. In this role Andy provides support to the Bank’s monetary policy responsibilities and leads the execution of Bank’s external engagement strategy. He regularly speaks about national and regional economic conditions and Federal Reserve policy to business, professional and trade associations, community groups, and the media. Prior to becoming Regional Executive, Andy worked as a Senior Regional Economist at the Richmond Fed. Before joining the Richmond Fed in 2006, he worked as an economic analyst in the macroeconomic policy group in the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Andy serves on the board of the Greater Baltimore Committee and the Maryland Council of Economic Education and is a former affiliate assistant professor at Loyola University. He received a Ph.D. in economics from Emory University and a B.A. from American University.

        SEIU Conference Center: Please note SEIU is a secured building, and you will need to present a valid photo ID upon entry. Security will direct you to the location where the session is being held.

        SEIU requires that masks must be worn entering and exiting the building. You may takeoff your mask when you arrive to your designated conference room. 

        Parking: Underground paid garage parking is available, but space is limited; entry into the garage is located on 18th Street. There are also other nearby parking garages as well as limited metered street parking.

        Metro: Closest stop is the Dupont Circle Station (south station exit) on the Red Line. Upon exit from the station walk towards 18th Street along Massachusetts Avenue; the SEIU Conference Center is located on the right-hand side almost immediately adjacent to Dupont Circle.
