Description: Global stocks sank in March of this year as the spread of COVID-19 nearly closed the world economy.  At the same time, interest rates plummeted and bonds experienced significant volatility.  Shortly thereafter in April, markets recovered faster than anyone could have possibly predicted.  In this session, we’ll outline the critical lessons learned and discuss what actions nonprofits and associations should be considering now, such as: is another decline inevitable, is it time to sell stocks, are bonds safe, should we rebalance, and how can we safely earn more in fixed income?

Learning Objectives:

  1.     Key drivers in deciding whether or not to rebalance the portfolio
  2.     Relative performance expectations in bull and bear markets
  3.     If and when organizations should remain disciplined to their investment strategy
